What We Check During a Visit
Every property is different, but a typical visit may include:
Inside the home
- Walkthrough of the home
- Doors and windows appear secure
- Toilets flushed and water briefly run at sinks
- Refrigerators and freezers checked (many homes have both interior and exterior units)
- HVAC appears to be operating normally
- Lights checked as needed
Outside the property
- Walk around the exterior of the home
- Irrigation appears to be operating normally when running
- Check exterior doors and entry points
- Visual walk-by of docks and waterfront structures when present
Additional property features
Many Edisto homes include interior elevators and exterior lifts. We note anything that appears out of the ordinary during the walkthrough.
If something looks off, we contact you so it can be addressed quickly.

Coastal homes require additional monitoring after significant weather events.
After major storms affecting Edisto Island, we inspect properties as soon as conditions allow access to the island.
These visits help homeowners quickly understand the apparent condition of their property and identify any issues that may require attention.

- Roofline and siding observations from ground level
